Players on a team start out close. One player starts with the water balloon. Teams are usually pairs (two people), but if you have an odd number of players you can create a team of three.

Take turns throwing and catching the water balloon. Once everyone on each team has made a successful catch, everyone takes one giant step back. After each successful round, players will move further and further apart. If your water balloon pops you are out! If you drop the water balloon or it hits the ground on a pass but does NOT pop, then you are still safe.The final and farthest team wins!
