Put the sponge at the bottom of a plastic cup. Make sure it is tight so that the sponge does not fall out when you turn the cup upside down.

 

In the other cup put some water. Only use a little bit of water. If you use too much water the trick will not work.

Hold both cups in front of your audience.

 

Pour the water from one cup into the other (into the one with the sponge that the audience does not see).

​

Say a few magic words: "Abra-kadabra water disappear!"

​

Now pour the other cup back into the first cup. No water comes out! It's gone! You made all the water disappear.
