A paper football (see video instructions on making one below)

A table for two to sit across from one another
How to Make a Paper Football
How to Play Paper Football
1. Cut a piece of paper in half.
Keep and use only one half.
2. Fold the paper in half, creating
a long rectangle.
3. Fold the top corner of the open edge toward the folded edge to form a triangle.
4. Fold again into a triangle, then again a third time.
5. There should be a pocket
on the triangle facing the rest
of the paper.
6. On the opposite end, now fold that corner into a triangle.
7. Fold that triangle in half, to
form a smaller triangle.
8. Tuck the smaller triangle into the pocket of the larger one.
9. Tighten all of the edges on
your paper football.
10. You are now ready to play!
No Cheating

No touching the football after you flick it until it stops moving.

No bumping or shaking the table while the football is sliding.
Setup
-
Sit or stand across from your opponent at a cleared-off table or countertop.

Flip a coin to decide who gets the football first.

Set a timer for 5, 10, or 15 minutes, depending on how long you want to play.

How to Play

The starting player places the paper football on their side of the table a few inches from the edge.

Flick the football with your finger to slide it toward the opposite end of the table.

If the football falls completely off the edge, your turn is over. Your opponent gets the football and starts from their side of the table.

If the football hangs over the edge with part of it still touching the table, you score a touchdown worth 6 points!
Extra Point

Stand the football upright by balancing one corner on the table and holding the opposite corner with one finger.

Your opponent makes a goalpost by touching their thumbs together and pointing their index fingers straight up.

Flick the football through the goalposts. If it passes cleanly between the uprights and over the thumbs, you score 1 extra point.
Taking Turns

After a touchdown (with or without the extra point), your opponent gets the football and starts from their side of the table.

If your first flick doesn't score and the football is still completely on the table, you get one more attempt.

If your second attempt also doesn't score, your turn is over. Your opponent begins from wherever the football came to rest and gets two attempts to score.
Winning the Game

When the timer runs out, the player with the most points wins!

Want a rematch? Play again! The losing player gets the football first in the next game.
